Camera Director Checklist

A checklist of what to do (we recommend you do them in this order)

Before the Service

• First thing in the morning: start PC - PW: sgcmed1@1
• Start Atem software (IP sddress for switcher just in case: 192.168.0.240).
• Press ctrl+shift+m to open the ‘Macros’ WIndow - Alternatively at the top menu bar, next to file, select ‘Macros’.
• Click the ‘Run’ Tab.
• Click on the "Rehearsal" button.
• Ask Presentation to start 'Info Slides' presentation.
• Ensure all the TV's outside are set up and turned on.
• Meet on stage at 6:50 am.
• Write a note for who is singing which songs and which parts of each song.
• Check that the comms system is working.
• Rehearse with the band: Practice transitions and framing for each switch around.

- After rehearsal -

• Double check TV's outside.
• Make sure the 'Café Welcome' slide is pulled into MP1 on the media side.
• Meet backstage at 8:00 (This is non-negotiable).
• Be back 5 min before pre-roll. This creates space to check all systems and communicate changes.

During the Service

• In the 1st service put up the café Welcome slide in the Café after the pre-roll.
• Keep an eye on the band - have a lookout for any uncommunicated changes.
• Switch between cameras, directing thier framing; telling the story and work with what is happening on stage.
• Stay awake and aware of what is happening both on and off stage so you can anticipate any occurance.
• Be in constant clear communication with your Presentation operator (avoid green screens).

After the Service

• Ensure the camera's are packed away.
• Turn off PC and multiview display.
• Meet backstage for debrief.
• Ensure all the TV’s are turned off and stowed away before leaving the campus.

Most Importantly: Have fun, relax, don't freak out if something goes outside of the plan, and remember: you are here to meet with God first and foremost.
